Life at 247-1

Just like her brothers Sophie likes to draw so we set up a table and chair for her.

She was all smiles and so was her teddy!

Today Markie made an 'Otoosan Switch' which is a box with little alphabet buttons on it. When you press the button Daddy has to do an action starting with that alphabet. This game comes from a kids TV program. I was very impressed with Markie's writing even though his stroke order was not correct he got the shapes very well.

A very cute present from Markie for Mothers' Day...

A surprise present from Daddy for the boys. A magazine each, filled with puzzles and games and lots of things to make. Jamie got straight into the art and craft stuff, little Markie was fascinated with all the puzzles and games inside.

Today we were able to take a look in at Markie's class. The children made paper carp, blue for boys and pink for girls, all part of the upcoming Children's Day celebrations.

Jamie's latest craze is drawing pokemon characters and he's getting very good at it!

The last week has been a tough one for Markie, he's been home sick with a virus making him vomit. The poor boy is sick of rice porridge which is the only thing he could keep in without throwing up.

We seem to be be finally over it, today is the third day he's been ok but we still have to be careful with what he eats and only in small portions.

Anyway, we found a way to keep him occupied at home, he loves 2 new things now, sticky tape and scissors. He will sit and chop up pieces of paper into small bits and then enjoy sticking them together with tape....I fear my roll of tape will be finished in no time at all!

Markie has shown a sudden interest in writing the alphabet, check out his work.

Among the few examples I wrote him he was able to write many on his own, including A, M, P and O.

Jamie has discovered join-the-dots, it's a great thing to keep him busy especially on long train rides when we travel.

It's the season for apricots now and at the market we are buying them in kilos....very cheap! Markie just loves them and I think it's great that kids can enjoy some healthy food.
