Sophie found a pack of textas and really concentrated on taking them out and then putting them back. I think she spent nearly half an hour just repeating the process...

Amazing how the little ones learn, anything and everything is a new challenge for them.

Jamie's first japanese chess (shougi) tournament, despite the sudden snowfall he made it safely to the tournament.

The new craze in our house is Japanese chess, even little Sophie likes to watch.

Today Markie made an 'Otoosan Switch' which is a box with little alphabet buttons on it. When you press the button Daddy has to do an action starting with that alphabet. This game comes from a kids TV program. I was very impressed with Markie's writing even though his stroke order was not correct he got the shapes very well.

Just a glimpse of what some of Jamie and his friends got up to with the lego today.

Of course Markie had to join in the fun as well...

Even though Markie does not want piano lessons like his older brother Jamie, he does like to play the piano with daddy and he is quite good at it too!

Today all the parents were allowed to visit the school to see the children at work in their classrooms. We got to see Jamie in action during one of his lessons. He was very enthusiastic to answer the teacher's questions.

A surprise present from Daddy for the boys. A magazine each, filled with puzzles and games and lots of things to make. Jamie got straight into the art and craft stuff, little Markie was fascinated with all the puzzles and games inside.

So how many computers do we have?? Enough for everyone to keep themselves occupied...

Next to daddy working on his computer Markie practised drawing with the mouse and Jamie was busy playing a game with Kaori...

At the Kyushu University's new campus just a 10 minute drive from home we took the boys to the Science Fair. There were all the things that little boys (and big boys) would be interested in.
