Let's Meet At The Park!

Author: jane Category: Friends & Relatives

The day started with a phonecall from Jamie's kinder friend inviting us to meet for a play at a nearby park. With this in mind I put Markie down for his daily nap a couple of hours earlier than usual so we could leave home just after lunch.

Drawing

With Jamie at Kinder it's sometimes hard to keep Markie occupied. This morning as I was writing my shopping list he insisted on doing the same, so I gave him a pen and paper and he started to draw.

Full Of Energy!

Life is never quiet with 3 male in the house and tonight after dinner was no exception. Anyone for some soccer before going to bed......come on over to 247-1! Of course there are no soccer balls allowed in the house but instead we have beach balloon balls, light enough not to hurt and big enough for even little Markie boy to be able to kick. Around and around the house they go, occassionally stopping for a jump on the mini trampoline. I often wonder where their endless energy supply comes from, just watching them makes me tired!! :hahaha:

Kindergarten

Tomorrow brings the beginning of the new Kinder year for Jamie. The last year just flew by, I guess with everything being new to me and Jamie we were always kept busy just getting used to the system. Now with that behind us we are looking forward to this second year and the new friends that await us. However, due to it being the second time around I kinda got a little too relaxed about things and left all the labeling to the last minute. As a result today was a mad rush to get all the stuff named and ready for tomorrow! Out came the labeling machine and the different coloured tapes and away we went..... Roughly 3 hours later and stiff from all that concentration I think we are all done and ready to go. Thank goodness for that! :*o*:

Fukuoka Tower

The last Saturday of Spring break turned out to be perfect weather for a day out. We decided to take our little Ninja boys down to play near Fukuoka Tower. The first stop was at a playground just opposite from the city library, after that we made the short walk down to the Tower where we enjoyed lunch under the spring sunshine. Here the boys enjoyed feeding half of their lunch to the pigeons! On the way back we made a quick stop at the library and had a final play at the playground before heading home. A long but fun day for everyone!

Monopoly

We thought that Monopoly would be a good educational boardgame for Jamie so we bought him the junior version. It didn't take long for him to get the idea of the game and recently he seems to be winning all the time, possibly 'Beginners Luck'! During Markie's afternoon nap today, Jamie and Baaba had a game and Jamie ended up the winner again. At the same time Jiiji and I were preoccupied re-papering the sliding doors.

Rainy Day

Author: jane Category: Family

What to do on a rainy day?? Well, Jamie managed to finish a 70 piece jigsaw puzzle on his own, he enjoyed it so much he did it over 3 times! Markie was into anything and everything, I found him in the closet making himself at home, digging into boxes of old toys! :-o

Itoshima Peninsula

Author: jane Category: Nature

Perfect weather for a drive around the peninsula. With clear blue skies above us we set off for sunset boulevard. After a few stops along the way, a seaside soap store and a natural salt hideaway, we ended up at our favourite sunset cafe. Here baaba and I settled for coffee and cake on the deck overlooking the sea while the kids enjoyed their ice-creams..... :-P
