Life at 247-1

A busy day started with getting up around 5:30am to make our lunchboxes for Markie's sports day. We were all up and at the kindergarten by 8:30am. We had our outdoor table and chairs set up and even little Sophie made herself at home.

To make the most of the little sunshine we have, today's lunch was on the deck, healthy sandwiches, some fruit and lots of fresh air! So nice to eat outdoors!

While the boys play table tennis in the basement, Sophie likes to run around the table just holding the ping pong balls.

When we first got here about 3 weeks ago, little Sophie had no idea how to climb the stairs. Now after lots of practice and support from everyone she can go up and down them herself.

After a very nice brunch of Malaysian food like curry laksa, nasi lemak, satays and more, I took the boys to see 'Ice Age 3', something they had been nagging me about for ages.

A nice morning for the boys to have a play at the Park next to home. Sophie went home to sleep with Poh Poh and I stayed with the boys.

Something new in Melbourne, the Aquarium. Curious to see inside we went down to the city for the day, just along the Yarra River across from the Crown Complex. The wind was chilly but the view of the yarra and city were beautiful. A short walk from our carpark, the boys ran freely for a bit.

Just about 30 minutes drive from home down the freeway, I took the kids to the Farm today. A bit cloudy but good enough weather to enjoy the outdoors.

The boys really enjoyed the play area at Hungry Jacks and they seemed so happy, considering the weather hasn't been that good for outdoors, this was the perfect thing for them.

Sophie was so tired from all the play that she slept soundly in the car on the way home.

We had a late lunch at the Markets, the German Hot Dogs were very big but very delicious and Jamie finished one and a half on his own. After living in Italy it was very interesting to see how the markets and the shops in Melbourne were so similar to those of Italy, not surprising if you consider that we have the second largest Italian population outside of Italy. All the varieties of cheese and hams, so tempting....couldn't resist buying some cheese to take home.
