Keya Beach
Mami, my friend from Osaka and her daughter Emi came to see us today. We had lunch at the Emerald Resort Hotel for the great view of Itoshima peninsula. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a table by the window but the view was just as fantastic, maybe even better from the rooftop!
The kids enjoyed the view from the rooftop.
After a long and rather relaxing lunch all the adults were in the mood for an afternoon nap, however due to the persistent voices of the little ones we yielded and took them to the beach....mind you it was about 36c on a Sunday afternoon, which meant we not only had to deal with the heat but also the people!
We opted on a beach close to home, about 15mins by car. Itoshima is a well known resort place especially in the summer season, people flock here from all over the city. One of the advantages for us being local is that we can most of the time avoid the crowds and traffic jams. However, today was not one of those days!
While Mami and I sat under our beach umbrella, Daddy took the kids into the water.
The last time we brought Jamie to the beach he was too frightened to get into the water, however that was last year and I guess one year makes a big difference. This time it didn't take him long to warm up and he was enjoying paddling around on his own.
For a first-timer, Markie boy did quite well too, considering he didn't get his afternoon nap he was a very good boy!
We brought along our little boat and the kids had a ball riding in it!
We played until about 6pm, a good 3 hours of fun. At the end of it the boys didn't want to leave, they gathered seashells and made sand castles. Emi was great at taking care of little Markie!
Oh, the highlight of the day was when Jamie got stung by a jellyfish, quite a few other people had gotten stung as well, including Daddy. Anyway, no real harm done, just a lot of tears and a super fun day packed with summer memories! Thanks for coming Mami and Emi!
いいねぇ。
