Life at 247-1

While the boys play table tennis in the basement, Sophie likes to run around the table just holding the ping pong balls.

After a very nice brunch of Malaysian food like curry laksa, nasi lemak, satays and more, I took the boys to see 'Ice Age 3', something they had been nagging me about for ages.

Just about 30 minutes drive from home down the freeway, I took the kids to the Farm today. A bit cloudy but good enough weather to enjoy the outdoors.

We had a late lunch at the Markets, the German Hot Dogs were very big but very delicious and Jamie finished one and a half on his own. After living in Italy it was very interesting to see how the markets and the shops in Melbourne were so similar to those of Italy, not surprising if you consider that we have the second largest Italian population outside of Italy. All the varieties of cheese and hams, so tempting....couldn't resist buying some cheese to take home.

After watching 'Transformers' with Paul and his friend Patrick we went out to chinatown for a late dinner. Most places were already full but we managed to get some seats at a dumpling place that Paul recommended. The atmosphere was authentic chinese and the boys enjoyed their food too.

Dinner at the Doncaster Hotel tonight, half a lobster and steak for the adults and all children's meals for free. The boys had lasagna and salad and Sophie had a bit of roast beef and vegies. There was a play area for the kids to play in and even Sophie wanted to have a go at the games there. Good value for money.

On recommendation from coufu we went to have Afghan food all the way to Dandenong, roughly an hours drive from here. A first time for me and the boys, we were looking forward to it and very hungry by the time we got there.

A great Italian place for pizza and pasta, the servings were so huge!

The pizza was very nice, we ordered a small size just enough for all of us.

With Jamie recovered from his cold we met up with everyone for a yumcha lunch. The restaurant was quite busy but we soon got a table. It's been quite a long time since I've had real chinese food and I enjoyed it a lot, the boys ate quite a bit and they both enjoyed the chicken feet very much!

Little Sophie behaved ok considering she was sleepy and wanting to nap.

Sophie loves the grapes here and she just won't let go of poh poh's hand...
