Life at 247-1

Sophie found a very comfortable spot in the warm sunlight by the window, I was actually sunning my futon by the window before she decided to sit there...

Today was a special games day at Jamie's school, the kids set up different games in the classrooms and parents and family were invited to join in. Jamie's game was bowling with empty drink cans. Sophie was very excited to see her 'nii-nii' (big brother) at school, I think she felt like one of the big kids.

Sophie found a pack of textas and really concentrated on taking them out and then putting them back. I think she spent nearly half an hour just repeating the process...

Amazing how the little ones learn, anything and everything is a new challenge for them.

This is what I found when I climbed up to make Jamie's bed...

He had his animal toys all wrapped up in tissue papers, a very cute substitute for blankets!

It could have been all the practice she had climbing the stairs at goong's goong's house when she had just turned 1, that has made her into a little monkey...

Little Sophie manages to climb to the top bunk in no time at all and she's usually holding some toy in one hand while she does it. Then when she's had enough she will swiftly climb down and continue on her way...

All our kids love animals so we decided to make a trip to the zoo. Being a popular and very cheap place to entertain children the carpark gets full in no time at all. We aimed to be there by 9am which meant leaving home at just after 8am...

We managed to keep to our plan fairly well and even then the closest carpark was already full, we managed to get a spot at the botanical garden side and that filled up pretty quickly too.

At the entrance we were happily surprised to find out that today was free entry for all....lucky us! A short 10 minute walk took us to the zoo side.

Just like her brothers Sophie likes to draw so we set up a table and chair for her.

She was all smiles and so was her teddy!

Markie ran with all his might as you can see by the expression on his face...

Sophie looked so cute in her sailor dress today. As usual she climbed into her favourite chair by the window and made herself comfortable with her little teddy bear.

Wataru has been taking electric guitar lessons at the Yamaha Music school for over a year now and today his school held a mini concert where the students performed various pieces.

The boys enjoyed seeing their daddy on stage, Sophie was too restless to sit in the room so we watched and listened from outside.

Sophie loves Markie and almost everyday she sees him off to Kinder at the bus stop and picks him up in the afternoon. She also watches him put on his backpack and of course has to copy.

She has lots of fun borrowing Markie's bag and pretending she's a big girl. I guess she can't wait till she can go kindergarten.

This year we were unlucky to have the kinder and school sports days consecutively in a row. Up early again this morning to make the lunchboxes and then off to the school by 9am.

Obviously with a much larger number of children than in kindergarten it was a little harder to take pictures and actually spot Jamie.

The children split into 3 teams, blue, yellow and red. Jamie was in the yellow team and they actually won their tug of war. Jamie was second from the end!

A busy day started with getting up around 5:30am to make our lunchboxes for Markie's sports day. We were all up and at the kindergarten by 8:30am. We had our outdoor table and chairs set up and even little Sophie made herself at home.
