Finally bloggin for year 2010!

Hi, all! This is Wataru. Jane has not updated this blog since the end of 2009. In order to motivate her to start posting again, I have changed the page skin as well as adding a function of photo enlargement. I hope she gets motivated again to update this blog.

I am posting two photos from the New Year's Day 2010, even though the year is half over now. Oh, well, take it easy and let's get started again!

We had Jane's family over here to spend Christmas and the New Year's day together! (Click to enlarge the photos!)

We don't get too many sunny days now but today we were blessed with warm sunshine and Sophie enjoyed the outdoors, picking up pebbles and running here and there.

Then when Markie came home from kinder she was so happy to see him that she had to climb up onto his chair and sit right beside him...

It's funny that they are still both small enough to fit into one chair!

Time flies and our little angel is not that little anymore. Here are some recent pictures of her, she can climb up onto her brother's chair and make herself at home with her cheeky smile!

Lunch with Nao-kun

We were invited to a nice buffet lunch with Nao-kun and his family. A 40 minute drive from home up in the mountains, the view was spectacular.

After a very satisfying lunch we took the kids for a little walk through the forest to a waterfall, even little Sophie did well walking.

At the waterfall, the kids enjoyed throwing pebbles into the icy cold water.

The boys were hyper all the way back to the car, Sophie though did not last as long and was fast asleep in daddy's arms back down the mountain.

Xmas Tree

It's that time of year already and we were quite early in putting up our tree this year, infact it was a lot quicker in setting up than in previous years, probably because I had 3 little helpers this time!

We were all very happy with the end result!

Markie's Shichi Go San（七五三）

Markie's special day to celebrate his 5th year began with baaba dressing him in the special kimono, a valuable antique handed down from jiiji's generation.

A nice shot of brother and sister...

Before heading off to the shrine we took a family shot in the garden...

As with Jamie 3 years ago we went to Iimori Shrine for the celebrations. Being a lucky day and with the weather nice there was a little crowd at the shrine but we did not have to wait too long for our turn.

Inside the shrine he was given his blessing by the priest, the ceremony lasted about 20 minutes.

After the ceremony Markie got a special little lunchbox and some other goodies.

Finally to finish off the celebrations, one photo of all three little ones in the shrine garden.

Sophie just loves the 2 little teddy bears that she has, one a gift from Baaba and the other from Goong Goong!

Baaba's mobile phone looks interesting too....

Sophie found a very comfortable spot in the warm sunlight by the window, I was actually sunning my futon by the window before she decided to sit there...

Saturday School

Today was a special games day at Jamie's school, the kids set up different games in the classrooms and parents and family were invited to join in. Jamie's game was bowling with empty drink cans. Sophie was very excited to see her 'nii-nii' (big brother) at school, I think she felt like one of the big kids.
